About us

Built for everyday Australians.

ScamWatchdog is a free, independent community platform giving ordinary Australians and small businesses a voice against corporate scams, hidden fees, deceptive practices, and misconduct. We believe transparency is the best protection.

Why we built this

Big companies have lawyers, PR teams, and lobbyists. They have the resources to delay, deny, and deflect. Everyday Australians and small businesses do not.

When you get scammed, the system is not designed for you. The ACCC is overwhelmed. Fair Trading takes months. Lawyers cost thousands. And media only covers the biggest stories.

ScamWatchdog fills that gap. Every report published puts pressure on companies to do better. When hundreds of people report the same company, regulators take notice. Media takes notice. That is how change happens.

Our principles
Free always

ScamWatchdog will never charge Australians to report a scam or share their story. That would defeat the purpose.

Anonymous by default

Many victims fear retaliation or embarrassment. We make anonymity the default so everyone feels safe to speak up.

Fair to companies too

Every company named gets 14 days to respond publicly. We publish their reply unedited. No platform should be one-sided.

Not affiliated with anyone

We are not funded by companies, government, or industry bodies. We have no advertisers. No one can pay to remove a report.

Community powered

Every report, article, and vote on this platform comes from real Australians who have experienced scams firsthand.
